How to dye your eyebrows / eyelashes!

Do you have white eyebrow or eyelash hairs? Are your eyebrows or eyelashes dying or sparse? Eyelash dye isn't only for dyeing your eyelashes. It makes a great solution to the problem of white eyebrow hairs too! Eyelash dyes are rather like the old-style cake mascara. (If you are old enough to remember that, you are old enough to need eyelash dye!) You mix the dye with a fixer then apply it like mascara. The difference is when you wash it off - its still there.

This also makes it an excellent timesaver for people who just have fair hair. Perhaps your eyelashes or eyebrows are too blonde to frame your eyes properly? Dyeing these will provide a far more natural looking appearance than mascara or eyebrow pencil ever will, and won't run into your eyes if you go swimming. It might also be used instead of mascara for contact lens wearers, and you can use a mascara wand to put it on in much the same way, if you like..

Eyelash dye is difficult to find in the US, and even when stores do carry it they often don't advertise it. You will have to shop around some!

Do remember as well, that as you age, your skin gets lighter in tone. Black eyebrows may not look entirely natural on you any more - the same way black hair might not. If you have a large amount of grey in your eyebrows, you might be best using brown eyebrow dye. The same would apply if your hair is lightened.
